From the Peoria Journal Star:
East Peoria woman reported missing
MOSSVILLE — Police are looking for an East Peoria woman who was last seen leaving work Wednesday morning from the Caterpillar Inc. facility in Mossville.
Lani White, 39, a third shift worker, left the plant about 7:30 a.m. and told her boyfriend, who also works at the facility, that she would be home after she picked up her daughter and took her to day care.
White left the facility and hasn’t been seen or heard from since, a family member said.
White usually arrives by 8:30 a.m. to pick up her 4-year-old daughter in Bellevue, but she never arrived, police reports stated.
Larry Kelly, the father of White’s daughter, told police he made several attempts to reach White by phone and text, but has not received any response. He filed a missing persons report shortly after 9 p.m. Wednesday with the Peoria County Sheriff’s Department.
White is 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighs about 135 pounds and has blonde hair and blue eyes. She drives a gold 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt with an Illinois license plate 8398118.
Anyone with information on White’s whereabouts should call the Peoria County Sheriff’s Department at 672-6011 or sheriff’s detectives at 697-7822.
Lani is the mother of one of my students.
Please keep her daughters in your thoughts and pray that she's returned safely to her family.
