Hmmm.....

One of my daily reads is Alternet and this article made me feel very positive. It's good to know that some small businesses aren't interested in building their brand and then selling it off. It's frustrating to me when I find a good product that I like and whose business practice I support and then BOOM, they are sold to a huge conglomerate.

And I really hate Wal-Mart. Where I live, however, makes it quite difficult to shop elsewhere. Plus our income makes it a challenge too. I try, try, try to only go there when it's absolutely necessary.

I own up to my full red-neck, hillbilly background. My kin are rural farmers, shopkeepers and tradesmen and women. Genetically, Wal-Mart should be my favorite place. But I hate it.
